Sachsenring MotoGP qualifying
Full qualifying results here.

Can Casey break the MotoGP pole jinx? Yep, the Aussie's on pole and no one has won from pole for eleven races. Looking at his pace over the practice sessions though he stands an excellent chance, the boy's flying. Not that he was without competition, Dani Pedrosa was a mere 0.004 behind him.

Melandri had an excellent qualifying and takes the last spot on the front row.

My suspicions about the Kawaski coming good may be proving to be true with De Puniet in the number four spot. Hopkins is showing his usual pace with a number five spot. Rossi is next to him in the number six position and we all know that he's well capable of winning from there.

The next row has Capirossi, Barros and Guintoli (good ride from the Tech 7 rider). A better position than Capirossi has been used to recently. Baros is riding injured after a big off in practice.

West is in twelfth place, with Edwards and Hayden having shockers in qualifying and placing thirteenth and fourteenth respectively.

Race on tomorrow!
